Debating with a freeper he claims Ted K was the one who called Obama Osama
Anyone familiar with this one? Claims that Limpballs, when he calls Obama Osama, is just "satirizing" Ted Kennedy who originally did it.

3. I think the freeper might be right
With Kennedy, it was a slip of the tongue. However, I don't think Limbaugh said anything like, "As Ted Kennedy calls him...Osama."

Ask the freeper if TK also called him a Halfrican.

5. He said it's so, so make him prove it ...
you don't have to prove he's wrong, he has to prove he's right.

9. Exactly, that is the standard right wing practice
To make a bald assertion and then act as if only we have to document that it is not so.

7. Um, that's actually true.

Ted K. was giving a talk and mistakenly began to say "Osama" instead of "Obama." He immediately corrected himself and continued the speech.

I have to assume that Flush keeps repeating it to reinforce the word association in people's minds.

11. It's the intent behind it
I can see them claiming that when Faux News did it, it was a typo. Or when they put "D" next to the name of that Representative in the page scandal.

8. I am extremely sad to say that I saw a video clip where he did
It was painful to watch.

He had given a speech were he was talking about Osama bin Laden and later talked about Obama. Here is the transcript:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A4354-2005Jan12?language=printer

However, it certainly was accidental and not the least comparable the smears and lies the right-wingers come up (e.g., Obama attended a radical muslim school)

10. Those freepers love to jump on slips of the tongue
Like Kerry's just before the election.

They are big on finding technical mistakes. Yet the real mistakes, say, like lying to get us into a war, they have no problem with.

14. Anyone remember during 2004 elections, some
woman was at a party at the WH and had on a button that said "I luv Obama"... Bush thought it was a button that said I love Osama..... He freaked out....

15. What we would do with slips of the tongue if we were as bad as the Freepers
1) Find the video clip where George W. Bush says, "We will NOT have an all volunteer Army."
2) Edit out the part where he realizes his mistake and corrects himself.
3) Email the clip around to the media.

But, if you want to be more honest, just send the clip of him saying, "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be somewhere. Maybe they're under here."

Bush jokes about not finding WMD in Iraq

16. It is proof that the media is not liberal as they say
That they make more of a big deal out of Kerry's slip of Kennedy's slip than they do of Chimpy's.

Especially the one you mention, it shows he does not take it seriously.
