Six female teenagers — four of them underage — have been charged for their part in the alleged sexual, physical and emotional abuse of vulnerable residents at a US nursing home where they were employed as caregivers.

Brianna Broitzman, 19, Ashton Larson, 18, and the four other girls, all 17 at the time, allegedly targeted residents with illnesses such as Alzheimer's for a series of humiliating assaults which took place at the Good Samaritan nursing home in Albert Lea, Minnesota, between January and May this year.

7. Good Lord. I was a CNA at a Good Samaritan nursing home a while back

before I started nursing school--it's a chain run by the Lutheran Church, and my facility was exceptionally well-run and took good care of its residents. Why were they hiring high-school girls to begin with? You definitely need a high level of maturity to care for the elderly, especially Alzheimer's patients. And these girls are just fucking sick and sadistic--yet they look so...normal...are teenage girls today just so oversexed by popular culture that they have to go after the helpless elderly for thrills? I am just shocked by this.

How horrible to mistreat the elderly and infirm. It takes a very special spirit to do this type of work so why employee dizzy, immature, irresponsible teenagers to work there?

enough qualified staff to supervise.

I hope the families of those patients sue the hell out of that facility and I hope those girls go to jail.

13. Totally unforgiveable. There are no excuses including their ages

they should and do know better but did this to the most vulnerable people anyway just for kicks, though it's hard to believe any truly human person could get kicks out of this kind of behavior. One day they may be old, sick, and vulnerable and have to depend on others for their care.
