All this bullshit from the media shills about Bush being so tough is sickening.

He isn't being tough - he's being FEARFUL.

12. Just turn on Keith tonight...
I'm sure he'll have something to say about this. I mean, are these people kidding me? "Conversation"? NO oath? NO WRITTEN RECORD????? Bullshit. I guess we're supposed to go along with this because they've been so honest with us so far. I mean, they'd never lie to us, or break the law or anything. And heaven forbid, political cronies would NEVER get government jobs, especially if they were completely unqualified to do it. :sarcasm:

Subpoena those bastards, put them under oath, and grill them. Relentlessly.
We all knew this would happen, but how can the same people who wanted to throw Clinton out of office over lying about a blow job really expect us to go along with THIS being a witch hunt? Are they that delusional? It looks as though the Democrats have finally discovered their spine, because while they're being somewhat more polite about it than Cheney was, their general demeanor so far seems to be "Fuck you, George." We cannot, however, forget about Lieberman's ability to totally screw things up.

Speaking of Cheney...what odds will anyone give me (I live outside of Vegas) that he resigns due to "health reasons" sometime in the next thirty days. I think he may be the bone Bush will try to buy us off with.

6. Josh Marshall: That is when he is the WEAKEST
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/013162.php

"Cable news talking heads are marveling at the his aggressiveness and seeming willingness to fight. But this is vintage Bush. The president has always pushed bluff and bluster and pretensions of holding a strong hand precisely when he's at his weakest. If you expected anything different you wouldn't know the man."

10. Exactly, he doesn't come out looking 'noble' here
Even Clinton appeared in hearings, even when he thought the whole thing was bullshit.

Only cowards hide behind weak arguments and dubious legal advice.

13. No Clinton fan, but he had way more character to tough out an impeachment.
Edited on Tue Mar-20-07 06:42 PM by blm
Bush would fold from the pressure of an impeachment and would resign first before he let the public see him get roasted day after day.
