9. That's really strange. I didn't know that they'd actually IDed one of the people;
I'd think that would give a little more insight into what's happening. I understand the need to respect the family's wishes, but it would be nice if they'd give a few details about how the one known person ended up in the water.

It seems like there has to be one or more specific events behind this - running shoes are buoyant and feet do naturally disarticulate, but if these are just the result of unconnected people who happen to drown or wash away, then feet should be showing up on all North American coasts, not just the northwest...
