As President Bush prepares to move into his new Dallas home at the end of his term, neighborhood residents worry about having him close by.

One woman shared her fears as she walked past Bush's house carrying her King Charles cocker spaniel on Friday.

"I am afraid with all the negative press the president has been getting, the whole neighborhood is going to be a target," said the woman, who refused to give her name.

The original covenant against minorities lasted until 1986, then was re-approved in 1986, 1996, and stayed in effect until 2006. The vast majority of current residents chose to move into a whites only neighborhood -- although enough of them changed their minds by 2006, for whatever reason, to remove the clause in 2006.

Anyone who moved in before 2006 knew there was a restriction banning blacks. Are those people still living there or not? Unless you can prove that everyone in this neighborhood moved in after the restriction was lifted, there are a bunch of racist assholes living in Bush's new neighborhood.
