Imagine my shock when I opened my sunday paper
and looked at the cover of the lame ass Parade magazine that they stick in there every week. Right out front along with a picture of a pissed off looking Clint Eastwood was a little blurb entitled "Bill O'Reilly's Holiday Quiz". WTF, I said. Holiday quiz? Not CHRISTMAS quiz? But yes that's what it said.

So I opened up the mag and there on page 14 it was "The Great American Holiday Quiz" by Bill O'Reilly. Surprisingly enough it was fairly ecumenical, containing questions on Hankkah and Kwanzaa (although the answer to the question on Kwanzaa was awfully demeaning). Then down in the little blurb at the lower right corner was a picture of an angelic lookin billo and a line identifying him as a "Parade Contributing Editor".

But I'm still shocked. Is he a double agent in the WOC? What are the true believers going to do when they find out billo has authored a "Holiday" Quiz?

2. Damn it!
I immediately placed that Parade mag under the cat box without scanning the contents and now the cat has peed all over it (bad aim) so I can't read it!

3. Ya Know, Parade Magazine is a major contender
for magazine that has sucked more than any other periodical for the longest time.
I first noticed Parade Magazine sucked when I was about 11. That was 1966.

During the last 40 years or so, people have criticised Readers Digest as a right-wing rag that vigorously defends conformity.
Parade Mag makes Readers Digest look like the Utne Reader.

Bill O'Reilly and Parade Mag are a perfect fit.

5. Yup there's nothing in our paper crappier than Parade Magazine
Except "The Family Circus" and columns by this asswipe Victor David Hansen.
