Labor Unions across the USA should be raising funds for the Chicago Factory Workers...

This is a class war and its about time the Working Class won a few battles...

I'm going to suggest this to my Local Union Rep....

In a tactic rarely used in the U.S. since the labor struggles of the 1930s, the workers, members of United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE) Local 1110, refused to leave the plant on December 5, its last scheduled day of operation.

1. Don't unions ordinarily have funds

to help with times of strikes etc?

AND, seems like unions all over should be saving/accumulating for the future bad times for everyone; maybe afl/cio could shave some $ off their rent in dc?

4. Depends on the structure of the local unions.

They will have funds to provide services for their members or most likely provide access to food. But times are rough right now considering that even the local food pantries are bare or nearly bare.

2. They probably already doing it.

The top executive officers of each union probably have or will be shortly sending funds to help them. In addition, local unions most likely will be passing the hat at their membership meetings.

Unfortunately, it seems like many would rather do the bidding of the big 3 CEO's than actually oppose management.

Donations of food and money are requested, as are solidarity actions targeting the Bank of America. The factory is in the Goose Island neighborhood, at 1333 N. Hickory (right near Division and Halsted).
