I can't get that poor family out of my head
The one's that were killed by that F/18. I believe they were Korean. The husband was at work and one of the children is still missing. I know that people died every day, but this one is really getting to me.

Bless their hearts. It wasn't fair.

1. I know what you mean
I was thinking about those family members who weren't in the home and how they must feel. I hope the missing kid turns up alive at a neighbor's house, but I fear not.

2. I'm sure the pilot
will be playing this over and over in his head. I hope for his sake it was mechanical error.

3. This is a difficult one - very sad for the family
I was watching a link here for a few minutes yesterday and one caller - an old navy pilot was very upset that the pilot did not opt for ejecting in the Pacific (which was closer). He was ballistic and said the pilot should lose his wings.
I didn't agree with him since I think the communications people who allowed him to attempt to glide in with one engine were the ones who made the mistake. Clearly they chose the aircraft over that heavily populated area.

5. Pilot is in command of the aircraft
Not the communications people.

There will be an investigation. Why doesn't everyone just wait before assigning blame?

4. It seems so totally random and infinitely horrible and tragic
Nobody should have to endure such a loss.

6. Horrible. One minute you are sitting in your home, the next
minute a plane falls out of the sky and kills you.
