Siegelman story knocked off the media radar by Blagojevich coverage.

I caught several times this sound bite in which FBI big shot Robert Grant called Illinois the most corrupt state in the nation. "...if it isn't the most corrupt state in the United States, it is one hell of a competitor."

The guy didn't mention Alabama.

Not that there's a connection, or anything, but Gov. Siegelman's appeal was heard today.

Did anybody on the evening news roundup bring this up? Anybody on MSRNC, like Keith O or Rachel M, bring it up?

One story that's gotten near-zero prime-time coverage: Bush's Department of Justice is so corrupt, it must be automatically disqualified from any most-corrupt competition.

to Obama "lying" about having talked to Blagojevich. He said that Hannity kept playing Obama's statement about "I", "we" didn't know or weren't aware of the investigation. But Hannity was seemingly skewing that to imply Obama said something else and lied. Expect this crap to keep coming up no matter how baseless.

How interesting: Enron steals billions, Bush kills millions, and Ill.Gov. indicted for intent to commit a crime. It is OK to render grandma destitute, violate Geneva and Nuremburg Conventions and Uniform Code of Military Justice-- but don't try to make graft.

Cut budget for school lunches, leave wounded vets homeless on the street, betray and kill thousands in New Orleans and sell their real estate to hotels-- but don't let the FBI hear you plotting to make a buck illegally.

Outside the courthouse in downtown Atlanta, the former Democratic governor said he was disappointed the judges didn't ask about his contention that his prosecution was politically motivated.

Sweeping the crux of the whole matter under the rug gives me little respect for this panel of judges.
