I just wanted to say that. I joined in a very volatile time, but have found that even the opinions I don't agree with have taught me something.

Thanks to those who called me out because they thought I was a freeper in my first 20 posts because I like to challenge conventional thought. It made me better understand the prgressive thought defined here.

Thanks to all those that have commented that they gained something from some small comment I made.

I am not one of the regulars here, but the "home" I feel here will keep me coming back not only to exchange with people I agree with, but people I don't so that I might better understand my own view through their comments.

You can open a profile and have it only show the date you became a member and your post count.. You don't have to add your location or anything else...

But what's nice about it is that it allows Skinner, his admin assistants and the moderators to be able to send you notices when they're in need of assistance (like when they recruit for new moderators, etc.) or when they send other "member memos".

It also allows your fellow members to contact you personally (*edit to say.. through this site -- PM's -- not through your e-mail unless you set it up that way!) which I think is great!!!! ~~

Since none of the members have access to anything personal, how does that effect security of the "internets"?
