Is your state corrupt?
Mine (NY) is. But the politicians here are a lot smarter about it than they seem to be in Illinois.

:wtf:

1. You mean there are states that aren't corrupt?
Which ones are they, and how soon could I move there?

7. In CT we have a gov who went to jail and several mayors and one mayor who molested two children
I would say it has been pretty dismal here.

8. Institutionally corrupt, with a big shiny seal of the state behind it.
But we don't stop working on it.

10. Here in Virginia,
we're running on the straight and narrow. The current status of our Democratic governor and soon-to-be two - TWO! - Democratic Senators, as well as my own Democratic Congressman, is quite satisfactory for me, and for a whole lot of Virginians as well.

I'm not sure the Southern mores would permit the kind of corruption found in Illinois. We're just too well-mannered.

14. Ohio used to be
but then Ken Blackwell and Bob Taft got the boot and Tom Noe went to jail.

Now we have the glorious Ted Strickland and the equally fabulous Jennifer Brunner and Ohio went blue in November.

15. for the most part I would say that
Vermont is pretty free of corruption. I am not so happy about the reelection of our Republican Governor but I would not say that he is corrupt and I am very happy with our Washington delegation, Leahy, Sanders and Welch
