Kids on the bus calling each other "Obama" and "McCain"

Yesterday, I was chaperoning a field trip for my daughter's school.

On the bus on the way home, a little boy and a little girl (they were about 5 years old) were playfully teasing one another.

"You're Barack Obama!" said the little girl.

"You're John McCain!" said the little boy!

"You're Barack Obama!" said the little girl.

"You're John McCain!" said the little boy!

"You're Barack Obama!" said the little girl.

"You're John McCain!" said the little boy!

"You're Governor Palin!" said the little girl.

Collectively, a bunch of the other kids went, "Oooooooh...."

"Oh, that was too much, " I told the girl, "too much... you betcha."

1. When schoolkids realize she's a flaming idiot and some adults fail to there is a servere problem.

2. Calling a kid "John McCain"?

Isn't that kind of like calling someone wearing water wings in the shallow end of the pool "Michael Phelps"? :shrug:
