They CAN fight him now (with the over-eager help of the media, who have nothing else to cover these days), and they will use whatever they can, to weaken him..

I was actually hoping that the feds would have been talking to Obama all along, and he would have taken a pro-active role in bringing Blago down..and been proud to announce it..

It's discouraging, in a way, to see that the media is ready and willing and able to nitpick the guy to pieces..and that they have a stable of ready-to-go rightwingers who are chomping at the bit to "offer" their advice to PE Obama..:(

Some of us will shake our heads & wonder, "Where was this outrage the past eight years while Bush/Cheney were shitting all over our Constitution? Where was 'accountability' back then?"

11. Just heard Randi Rhodes give a very detailed, articulate, calm explanation of how

President-elect Obama actually set Blagojevich up for this when he personally interceded with the Illinois legislature to override Blag's veto of anti-corruption legislation.

It really busted Blag's balls because he only had until the end of '08 to milk his cash cows after which he would be breaking the law. Seems he misjudged a bit.

We will hopefully hear this version tonight on Countdown and Rachel Maddow. Maybe then the Obama integrity factor will come to light.

and it is what they do. You can't expect them to report anything that is actually important. I was thinking what a great example this could be of how government is supposed to work, why it doesn't, and what can we do about it. I was especially interested in what Blago said about wanting to have a non-profit, or be the Secretary of Energy..because that is where the 'real' money is.
