Why aren't we talking about the millions of workers that loose out if the BIG 3 go under

The Dealership mechanic. The truck driver that brings your shinny new car to them. The rail worker that took it to the truck driver. (10% of Union Pacific, the largest rail company traffic is cars from the big 3 posted 2 weeks ago) A bankruptcy stops payments to suppliers. How long can any business stay afloat when the #1 customer don't pay their bill?

Nebraska has over 5,000 jobs that depend on the BIG 3. We make seats and gears. How many are in your state?

After crooked bankers made off with the treasury, why are we taking it out on millions of soon to be unemployed workers?

1. Who are you kidding?
Do you even read the threads here about the auto bail out? They are ALL about the workers.

Not a rational word about the economics.

3. it is astonishing that anybody, repub or dem would
advocate for job loss and lower salaries. But that is what seems to be happening.

4. The ones I'm really worried about are the retirees.
The workers can move on and find other jobs eventually. But when you're 75 and your pension is cut or eliminated what do you do? I know there's a Pension Guarantee Agency or some such, but how do we know they haven't been looted too?

6. At least they're physically capable of flipping burgers if necessary.
My friends father worked for GM for 30 years. He and his wife live on the pension now. Neither one is in good health. If something happens to their pension they are royally screwed. They're terrified.

7. It'd be nice
Can't even find fast food jobs anymore in these parts. It's gonna get ugly when all these laid off people's unemployment benefits run out and there's simply nowhere at all for them to get a job at. I'm getting worried myself.
