The ONE good thing Bush has done
There is, as far as I can see, only one good thing Dubya has done in this past eight years.

And it has to be said that even though it had a good effect it was purely unintentional and that if Dubya had a chance at a "do-over" he'd do it over differently.

Dubya greatly reduced discrimination against African-Americans, despite it being Republican strategy to heighten those tensions. How?

Dubya made his own imperial reign so distasteful that people could not stomach a third term in the guise of McInsane. Dubya made it so that ignorant, bigoted crackers (the Republican's second "base" after the extremely rich) were so angry with his maladministration that they'd rather have an African-American president than a Bush clone.

A remarkable, and wonderful achievement. But a purely unintentional one and one that Dubya would love to change with a "do-over."

1. Oh, I was thinking it had to be that he'd passed away.
My bad.

(Just kidding, Agent Mike. No harm intended or incited.)

2. I give Barack Obama all the credit for his election. The racist element still voted for McCain
after all he got 58 million plus votes.

3. And boy, is that radical fringe scary
especially now that they realize they are in the minority. They made it up to the election comfortably assuming that everyone ELSE's closet racism would ultimately ensure a McCain victory, no matter what seemed like it might happen--only to be sadly disillusioned by the results. Now they're telling themselves that Obama was an "affirmative action candidate" who got elected "because" of his race and who was unfairly preferenced somehow--and that because, of course, he will be woefully incompetent (they know this because of his race), horrible things are going to happen.

Stephanie Miller got one of them calling in to her show today. "Wake up, white America!" :scared:

We'll never be completely free of the hardcore racists.

4. no he didn't
While Bush had one of the most diverse cabinets in American history. Below the secretary level almost all civil services saw a decrease in minority hiring during his administration. The election of Obama had more to do with changes in American demographics and race relations that trace back to post war America.
