Perle Hints Marines To Be Used in Attack on Iran --- Rawstory LINK

Perle's statements were highlighted by Salon blogger Alex Koppelman in a post Friday. Koppelman notes that in the Perle segment of the film, he is shown saying that "it would be a mistake to send Marines to Iran, and that it was not being contemplated." But, Koppelman notes, "Later on, Perle remarked that the quote had been filmed several months earlier and that he "can't say now.""

This past Sunday, the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz reported that Perle had said at a conference in Israel that President George W. Bush "will order an attack on Iran if it becomes clear to him that Iran is set to acquire nuclear weapons capabilities while he is still in office."

"Perle is close to the Bush administration, particularly to Vice President Richard Cheney," Ha'aretz adds.

Is anyone surprised? So why does the US MSM not cover any of this?

Yesterday Elbaradei, UN IAEA Inspector reported to UN the likelihood of an attack on Iran.
Show of hands --How many saw this reported on the evening news last night?

Israel issues statements almost every day predicting the attack. Almost never picked up by the US MSM.

There is definitely a news blackout on this subject, and I cannot help but recall the look on Brian Williams and Timmy Russert's faces after they had a pre-speech conference with Bush where they said Bush gave them a tour of the world giving his opinions about each country and what we were doing there. Remember Williams held up a reporters notebook full of quotes he said he could not disclose, and Russert said they would have to report on this 'very carefully.'

It is no coincidence that we are hearing almost nothing from the MSM about the coming Iranian attack.

4. PBS Documentary "America at a Crossroads" ....
"Perle, appointed chairman of the Defense Policy Board by President Bush in 2001 and assistant secretary of defense for international security policy in the Reagan Administration, participated in a raucous discussion in New York on Wednesday where he faced boos and hisses from the audience. They were gathered to hear a talk about "America at a Crossroads," a PBS documentary series that will air in April."

7. There have been military operations inside Iran for months according to Sy Hersh...
... He reported on this last year, and predicted the attack was coming.

This is the world's worst kept secret, but hardly reported by the MSM here.

It is like the Bush Administration has such a lockhold on the MSM here that they can create any reality they want just by manipulating the MSM and what they report. WHich by the way was confirmed in the Libby trial yesterday --indicating they would use the MSM to slant the public opinion.

3. I suspect this is why they are extending troops
instead of rotating new ones. You would think the marines would be the force of choice for Bush's little surge, but they are being kept for something special.

U.N. Says Iran Plans Nuclear Development

By GEORGE JAHN
Associated Press Writer

DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) -- Iran expects to start installing thousands of centrifuges in an underground facility next month, the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency said Friday. The installation would pave the way to large-scale uranium enrichment, a potential way of making nuclear weapons. (deja vu}

On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, Mohamed ElBaradei said: "I understand that they are going to announce that they are going to build up their 3,000 centrifuge facility ... sometime next month."

He did not elaborate. But U.N. officials, who demanded anonymity because the information was confidential, emphasized that Iran had not officially said it would embark on the assembly of what will initially be 3,000 centrifuges at Natanz. But they said senior officials have informally told the International Atomic Energy Agency the work would begin next month.
...

What they are NOT doing is connecting the dots for the public. Within the next six weeks, Condi will be giving a highly televised speech to the UN and Bush will once again be pirating prime-time viewing for an important speech to the nation.

10. BINGO! --And did you notice Bush asked for another $10.6 Bil yesterday from Congress?
I am sitting here wondering what Bush needs another $10.6 Bil to use in Iraq when he is spending approx $8 Bil/month at the present rate?

The additional 'funding' would likely pay for the positioning of troops and weapons, logistics, and coming support services from the same 'war profiteers' who brought you the Iraq War support services on no-bid contracts.

Insanity? Bush ordered a cut of $40 million in essential cancer research clinical trials, which means 1 in 10 clinical trials will now go unfunded. Just shows what is important, shovelling the public treasury tax money into the pockets of his corporate buddies, or meeting the very real needs of the people and their needs.

9. Notice the AP reporting completely blacks out ElBaradei's statement re: coming attack on Iran
Sorry, but he AP is mostly useless when it comes to reporting anything that contradicts the Bush line.
