they just voted to restore his privilege. it was something about Katrina. they "took his words down"
they're going at it after the vote now.

3. Oh, it is getting nasty in the House. The repugs are trying to say |
|
the vote was not striking the words when actually it was just to allow Taylor to continue speaking for the rest of the day. The repugs are going postal because the vote went against them. They keep trying to whine and the Dems are yelling they are out of order.
Taylor just apologized, should be enough but I'm betting the repugs aren't going to let this go - they can't debate the issue so they are into throwing sand (thank to Fitz for the analogy!).
The Dems just applauded Taylor's words. Dems are now moving on and repugs are still grousing. Very contentious day. This is must see TV.

4. He said that bad thing that a friend of Bush got good money |
|
to move trailers and put on a garden hose for sewer. And the man from Ga. had not wanted to save money on that. That the Ga, man should come to the coast ans see the mess before he voted on this bill. I think it was 13,000 per trailer for doing that. I can understand why Taylor was mad. I have seen him on TV and he lost every thing. As he said he was lucky he still had a job.

Poor little Republican from Georgia is visably upset. What a shame.

8. Maybe he did not like to face how bad he treated the people. |
|
I have shame for my country in how we did that storm. What a way to treat our own people. I am sure if it had not been a Dem. state it would not been like that. Now that they have moved out most of the Dem. I am sure they will move in buy up the land and re-do NO for the rich.
