Does anyone have any question yet why Bush wanted to shore
up the police state in the US?

At some point he knew what was coming financially. So you figure out when the first talks began to allow the military a domestic police presence, and I bet just a few months before that was when the White House figured it out. Any legislation that Bush approved after that point to make it easier for Wall Street to continue its reckless ways, makes Bush a complicit accomplice.

1. Or why the need to privatize Social Security?
Most of it would be gone by now. Although with the bailout and other spending, it is hard to know how much worse off we all would be either way.

3. They wanted to feed the boar.
But, I'm not so sure they understood that they were driving the country into bankruptcy. At least, that's not the conclusions made by the following semi-insiders, semi-opportunists who saw it coming:

2. The chaos hasn't even started. Wait until the unemployment checks start to run out
and people realize they can't find work.

4. That's what I'm saying.
That's what they see coming. That's what they will have to prepare for.
