It's about time someone said it. Senate Rethugs had their talking points all lined up on Wednesday morning – and the leaked memo with the GOP talking points proves that the goal of derailing a bailout for American automakers was the delivery of a death blow to organized labor and working families.

Well, here are the facts:

• The Republican Party, which even one prominent GOP Senator admits has now reduced to the status of a regional party, has a Senate caucus that favors the interests and influence of foreign corporation over those of American companies, their stockholders and working families -- and that is fundamentally unpatriotic and un-American. These Dixiepublicans are still trying to fight the Civil War.
• Republican Senators want to help their foreign paymasters reduce wages and benefits for American workers.
• The fact that the Senate's GOP caucus put Louisiana Senator David Vitter, a notorious and kinky procurer of hookers, out in front as one of their public point men tells you everything you need to know about the ethics and morals of the caucus -- and the modern Republican party.

They need to be called what they are - liars and frauds, using this crisis as a means to harm the unions, a way to put the workers in their place.

Did any of the "incentives" offered to the foreign auto makers require that the CEOs limit their salaries?

Limit the CEO's and top management salaries - that would be a huge start - let management be the example, set the example.
