To the DU moderators past and present

Many of you know I can be a pain in the butt. I want to thank the DU for the unbiased labor coverage that has landed on the feature spot on the front page from time to time. I can think of 8 stories in the last 10 days. TWO today. Smithfield & the UAW. I'm still giddy with joy. I hope now more pro labor people continue to use the DU on a daily basis.

A few years back the DU had no union or labor forum. After a post I made, we got the needed support for a union group. Somehow sometime later there was an original post from the AFL-CIO on the feature story spot. Next thing I knew we had been upgraded to a full Labor Forum. I try to post at least one or two items a day. On good days it can be a couple dozen.

Sometimes I think it should be retitled the Workers or Middle Class Forum. I post many items that effect ALL workers, not just labor. OSHA, retirement, EEOC, etc...

Please know how much the DU taking a pro labor stance in the electronic media means to me (and many others).

1. There are a decent group of us defending labor

and the numbers on DU grow every day. It starts when people realize how their media coverage has been slanted towards anti-unionism, you can even see this on MSNBC and in the New York Times sporadically. It takes time, but reasonable people listen and stop taking what they hear from the MSM as truth and go do some digging for themselves, and when they do its a beautiful thing :)

12. I forgot to mention

I didn't post the UAW or the Smithfield story. I thank all those that have been posting working family issues. And all the pro UAW stories etc.. the last month or so. That helps a lot.
