Poll question: Why is Harry Reid still Senate Majority Leader?
After the auto bailout debacle, it is clear this guy is unwilling to play hardball with the Republican even after the public handed them their asses, so their was no possible downside to thumping them with any parliamentary procedure at his disposal, as the GOP did themselves when they were the majority. The Democrats act as if the Republicans can block anything even if they only have one member of Congress.

So why is Reid still in his job?

1. He is on the job because they voted him in...its that simple...
if he was that bad, they would vote him out...

that is the way of the Senate....

someday, he will be replaced...until then....we should be focusing on helping PE Obama and his efforts to fix this mess we are in...

3. I THINK the Senate votes for their leaders at the beginning of each congressional
session. I haven't heard that any other Senators are vieing for the job, but I don't know that that would be something we'd hear about. Wait until the new session convenes in early January and we'll see.

BTW, I believe it also has something to do with senority. I heard that when there was talk about what Hillary would do after she lost the primary campaign.

4. Other: Because they're ALL spineless.
They'd rather play the game than lead...and, though he knows nothing about leading, Harry plays the game.
