Snow looked stunned when asked if Rove uses a private e-mail server
stunned as in, "damn, they're on to us." Of course he just blew off the question with no response.

We've got some pretty smart cookies working for us, and i believe more than a few congressional staffers are regular readers here, they know what a goldmine DU is, all we have to do is nudge them with posts like the ones on this thread. K and R/

Maybe they can just walk off with the server and deliver it to Conyers?

No requriement for records or archiving on a private server.

for White House business. But, my guess is, that hard drive is at the bottom of the Potomac River by now.

just a bandwidth provider.

I could be wrong but it would be extra sweet if the WH is incriminated using evidence that was kept on file because of all that post-9/11 legislation.

That's really the key to this whole thing.
It shows that the RNC and DOJ are now the same thing.

Remember the stink they made when Gore made fund-raising calls from the White House? That was nothing compared to what's going on now.

I'm sure there's lots of incriminating e-mails where the real cover-up strategy was being discussed. Totally relevant to the quest for the truth.

22. Actually, it's "gwb43.com"
we have only one e-mail address from there, a Mr. SJennings@gwb43.com.

I've looked it up and I found the people who owned it. I wonder if I should try and contact them, or if that would put me in some type of danger. If they're doing this, they're not bound to like that I'm trying to figure out the game.

Remember Poppy not knowing what a grocery store scanner was? I'm convinced these uber riche dickwads don't have a clue about what they're doing. They really seem to not know that virtually anything they do online is traceable. But to have their whois information public, when it could be cloaked for about $9 a year...they're just fucking imbeciles.

Edited on Wed Mar-21-07 02:19 PM by Solo_in_MD
since they are about as technically unclueful as they come...

- Yes they can subpoena any mail server, but there is no requirement that any data be there.
- Emails are not always retained on servers
- There is no requirement for keep records or archiving any data or logs on a private server
- Congress can not issues secret net taps under CALEA.

19. Yeah, I know. That server is not good for them...
it might show they're trying to hide their tracks. The server the e-mail came from was not a government server, instead of saying who.eop.gov it was gwb43.com.

It's a privately owned server, like you said, and that's not good they're doing government business on such a server.

34. Exactly
You guys have been bitching about the NSA for a very long time. Now they can help us.

Fort Meade has the most powerful data recovery capabilities in the world. These fuckers can pull data off a low-level formatted hard drive if need be. There is no reason to believe that, given the proper motivation (yes, some of the people who work there are Democrats and, since the Agency belongs to the Defense Department and has active-duty military on staff, some people working there may have basic training battle buddies who were killed in Iraq), the Senate Judiciary Committee would not be able to task NSA's data recovery desk to restore any e-mails that may have been deleted from the server housing gwb43.com.

This assumes the Repukes, who are completely fucking clueless about ISP procedures and probably wouldn't think of this anyway, didn't run over to the ISP the second the Left found out about gwb43.com and confiscate the DLT cartridges used to back the site up during the period in question. That would be quicker and easier than trying to recover data from erased hard drives.

36. Military lack of support for Bush is hardly underground
If they've deployed, they think Bush's Folly is a waste. Count on it.

There are so many possibilities for intended "deleted" e-mails that I doubt the Bushies would want to risk it under oath, hence, the questioning "at the local pub," as Bush had suggested.

If its a standalone server, there us no ISP, just a bandwith provider. B=andwidth providers only track usage not connections.

But the laugh will be on him when we check his personal internet. Now we also know where a lot of the missing money has gone. Bastards!
