How Did The Boys Down At The Local Garage Take The Shoe Tossin' Incident?
There's a boy about 3 miles from here who does repair work. Darrel is as likely to be working on a tractor as a truck but there's plenty of work and he's got two boys helping him. He does good work. The boys know how I feel about Bush. Everyone around here does.

Having need for one I went down to Darrel's this morning to borrow a sand-blaster. The garage door was opened because it was unseasonably warm this morning and they were airing the place out as they cleaned up the beer cans from friday-after-work. As I walked up to the open door the boys walked out all laughing like hell and Darrel yells out, 'Thom, did you see that Arab toss the shoe at Bush?" as they all broke up laughing again. It was contagious, we were all just good and god damned giddy about it; four undeniable rednecks just lovin' every minute of it.

3. I heard people crack a couple jokes on the radio:
How did Bush learn to duck like that? From hunting with Cheney!

This incident gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Lame DUCK president."

4. Is there a blacksmith around somewhere to check?
Of course, horseshoe throwing is a bit more intense.

5. I've got a friend that is a Farrier, I'll call on him tomorrow and ask
But we've been friends for decades and I know exactly how he took it - he would have tossed a horseshoe and he wouldn't have missed.

6. I hope they make that reporter a national hero
He's my hero right now, that's for sure!

May these not be the last shoes to head Bush's way... and may more than a few of them hit their mark;)

7. I wish he'd fired off those Nike missiles while Bush was shaking Maliki's hand.
B-)
