13. Here's my take on it
* called Gonzo to tell him he supports him and that's the public story. Gonzo will come out later this week and say he's decided that this ruckus is taking the focus off of more important things, so he's decided to resign for the good of the country and the administration.

5. I just hope "they" don't try another convenient "terra" alert.
What fucking assholes they are.
Gonzo will go before Cheney. Don't know about Rove. Cheney might have to resign due to "health problems."
Who fucking knows what these motherfuckers will pull out of their collective asses this time. :puke:

12. we dont get another terra alurt
we are way past the days of "warning will robinson". This time we might get a pitiful dirty bomb in a disposable town (like OKC or SLC, or some other liberal mecca, ha) It would of course be a false flag attack of course.

I predict that no one will resign, Bush dug his heels in too deep on this one. We will be "attacked" before anyone quits. -I will eat my cigar on that one

9. That's a good guess Dinger
My guess is bush takes it to the dancing supremes and they vote him in as president again. I mean they tell the Dems to take back their subpoenas and claim it's a one time decision not to be used as precedent (just in case we get a Dem as president in the future).

This is based on nothing but my dislike of the black-robed junta.

15. Gonzales Stays
Bush was going to axe Torquemada AG, but now he won't - just to be an obstructive asshole.

This will make it easier for the Rethugs to begin impeachment.

16. Right on Gonzazles, Wrong on Cheney
Alberto goes under the bus soon to avoid a constitutional showdown. Rove will go down if it looks like they're going to lose (and possibly take up residence in a country without an extradition treaty). Cheney will wait until after all other options have been exhausted.

19. Nothing wil happen.
It will be business as usual. We might all be cussing and screaming, but this is merely a diversion on their part.
Trust me...no-one is going to resign.

24. If Rumsfeld gets thrown under the bus...
Gonzales will get the same treatment.

I was watching KO the other night, and even what the White House chose to release is pretty damning evidence. To the extent that any of these prosecutors were pursuing cases against elected Republicans and they were fired to stop their investigations, the White House has met the legal standard of "Obstruction of Justice," which is clearly an impeachable offense.

The Democrats seem to have rediscovered their balls, and the media seems to be remembering what a free press is supposed to do. And more troubling for the Republicans, a majority of Americans no longer believe Bush to be fundamentally honest.

The jig is up.

20. You can actually bet money on that prediction
go to: intrade.com

click on 'current events'
then click on 'white house'
then click on 'Alberto Gonzales'

You can bet that he will be gone by 3/31, 6/31,/9/30 or 12/31.

You will see that the odds of his departure increase over time but at the moment they are about 40% for him to leave by the end of June.

I kinda feel the same way.

Firing Gonzales won't stop the subpoenas, so why bother? Plus, he's less likely to rat out the administration on all the illegal crap they've done while he's still on board

21. Bush goes to the mat for Rove (and Gonzales because of Rove)
WH puts spin meisters in full throttle. Crank up the 'fear factor'. Claim Bush being distracted and can't wage war on terror. Barrage of missing white women, terrorists confessions and other assorted diversions.

SUBPENIS SUBPENIS SUBPENIS THEM ALL!!!!!!!

Subpoenas nullify offer for talks on attorney firings, White House says
• Subcommittee vote authorizes chairman to issue subpoenas
• Bush compromise offer would not allow transcripts of staff testimony
• "Executive privilege" cited as reason Bush won't allow sworn testimony
