Why Caroline Kennedy is more qualified for office than many Democrats

already in office and is worth alot more to this country. She won't do it to enrich herself when she leaves office, therefore she is a lot less corrupt than some Democrats in office. She is a Constitutional lawyer and author that has written about the value of the Bill of Rights, so she wouldn't have enabled the Bush administration's violations of those rights like many Democrats did (who are still in office). Therefore in my eyes, she is much more qualified to serve this country than many Democrats already serving (loosely speaking).

Were she to be appointed to the Senate, she could remind Cornyn, Inhofe, Hatch, and SEVERAL other GOP nitwits that the document is in fact, still valid.

when she's on Charlie Rose or whatever. She's a thoughtful, intelligent woman, who knows her way around multiple worlds. I don't know, but I would bet that she is far more schooled in American politics than I could ever hope to be.

4. Caroline Kennedy

is fifty-one years old. I remember when they moved into the White House. It makes me want to bang my head on this desk until don't feel old.

But, she's qualified. She's beautifully qualified, and, since we're going to have an old Constitutional Law professor in the White House, and since I spent a large part of my professional life as a Constitutional lawyer, I think the more of us we can have in Congress, the better.

She's authored, or, co-authored three (I think) deeply reasoned and brilliantly researched books on the subject.

I would love to see her as a Senator. And, given that she's lived most of her life in NY, that makes her legitimate, far more than her Uncle Bobby and Hillary Clinton, both of whom really were carpetbaggers.

I hope she gets it. I'd love to have two Senator Kennedys on the Hill, wouldn't you?

7. Maybe she should start with something less lofty

I was hoping Caroline might start with something a bit more local and build up to an election for federal office. She might run for something local, perhaps mayor, or council rep to some city government. Stepping right in as Senator with no experience does not serve well the citizens of New York.
