I'd like to see Rocky Anderson on the radar

I know, Utah needs every liberal they can get, but I sure was impressed with Rocky Anderson early on in the anti Iraq War movement.

Just wondering if Rocky would consider a larger role at either the state or federal level? Has Pres Elect Obama ever mentioned him on a short list?

1. Rocky is a good guy with a lot of baggage.

I don't think he could make it anywhere else but Salt Lake City. I know that sounds weird, but he was perfect for Salt Lake and that's about it.

He ran for congress in 1996 here but lost, but won Salt Lake City, which is when he decided to run for mayor three years later. He won re-election in 2003 and then decided against a third term, though not because he couldn't win. Rocky has a lot of baggage, though and let's just say, if he were put under the microscope, it wouldn't be good. However, for local politics, it works and for a city like Salt Lake, which embraces liberalism extremely well, he's safe.

Federally or state-wide? Not going to happen.
