Could Jeb Bush become the GOP candidate in '08?

It sure doesn't seem very likely. However, the current GOP "front runners," Rudy and McCain, will never make it past the fundies and freepers who control the nominating process.

These nuts would love to see someone like Sam Brownback, (R) Kansas, as their nominee. Brownback is crazier than Rick Santorum, but he couldn't win the general election any more than could Dick Cheney.

While governor down here in FL, Jeb did everything possible to endear himself to wingnuts and big business. He led the charge on the Terry Schiavo episode. He let the insurance companies run amok to the point where rates have more than doubled. He blocked all efforts for voting paper trails. He made sure that any anti-war protests were kept out of camera range. In short, the only difference between Jeb and King George is that Jeb is smarter.

I doubt very much that the country is ready for another Bush. But you never know. After all, who ever dreamed that Jr. would occupy the Oval Office? And let's not forget that most of the country still doesn't have election paper trails.

So do you think Jeb could be a dark horse in this race?

Unless GWB installs Jeb (get a real name) there is no way that Jebbers could get into the offfice short of a dinner invite. GWB has pretty much made sure that the Bushes will have to change their name to be taken seriously

Remember, the Bush Family Mission is to loot the wealth of the world, especially that of the USA, on behalf of their corporate buddies.

By '08, this nation's coffers will be more than depleted by tax-breaks and optional wars of choice, so why would they even care? The bushes will wait a few years for the Dems to rebuild the country's finanaces, and for the public to forget how rotten they are, then they'll try for the repeat performance.

11. There are thousands of photos of Jr. looking like an idiot, but the

I can't see scandal-battered Republican voters voting for Jeb in the 2008 primaries. I suspect that enough of his older brother's scandals will be out in the open to the point where most voters simply won't be willing to take a chance with someone from the Bush family.

As for me, I confess that I DO hope that the Pugs nominate Sam Brownback for President with Texas Governor Rick Perry as his vice presidential nominee.
