So here's the thing that really bugs me about all this. Regarding a thread I saw here earlier (linked below) that reports that Al-Zaidi, the now-infamous shoe hurler, is being imprisoned and tortured. I do not personally believe the source, however things are not so clear cut after GWB's reign.

We, as a country, didn't torture and IF there was an isolated case of it occurring we knew that the perpetrators would be prosecuted for their involvement. We can no longer say these things with any certainty and that is greatly distressing. Although I don't necessarily believe reports that the shoe hurler is being tortured, I have NO REASON NOT TO BELIEVE these reports anymore and it's heartbreaking. In fact, i would think it more likely that Al-Zaidi IS being tortured than him NOT being tortured...
Where the hell has our country gone and why isn't W in prison yet?!?
