1. I watched this for about an hour, earlier, and |
|
it's a lot like watching sausage being made. I think I'll just wait for the results.
Still, they seem to be doing a fairly good job, awkward as they also seem. I just can't stand watching the clumsy way they're doing it.

...but I think they are doing one candidate's challenges at a time.

6. Not really. These are Franken's challenges they're looking at, |
|
so you'd expect more of them to go for Coleman. I'm a bit surprised that any are going to Franken. Be encouraged.

7. He's not expected to yet |
|
Most of the time the original decisions made at the county level are sustained. So Franken challenges votes he doesn't like and he loses most of the challenges. So Coleman benefits.
But they are doing almost entirely Franken challenges today. They won't do Coleman's until after Franken's are finished. Coleman has close to 1000 challenges while Franken has less than 500. So seeing that the challenger loses most of the time, and Coleman has more challenges to lose, the entire process is more likely to benefit Franken now.

8. From what I saw when I was doing the challenge on the Star Tribune web site, |
|
they run in groups. So it may not be all bad.

9. Right now, Coleman is winning 64% of Franken's challenged ballots. |
|
If that percentage holds in regards to Coleman's 1000 challenged ballots, i.e. 64% of those 1000 Coleman-challenged ballots go for Franken, Franken will win.

A running tally. I'm excited to find out what's going on. Now I don't have to keep hitting google news.

10. Did they just count ballots that are mark "SPOILED" for Coleman? |
|
Looks like the voter made a mistake and the election official gave them and new ballot, but they ran the spoiled ballot through the machine. Seems fishy. Board counts them for Coleman.

13. That pisses me off.. Can't they afford a simple STAMP |
|
that says SPOILED..and then stamp it on the front..or draw a big ole X on the front?
Someone at that precinct ran the spoiled ballots through because they were for Coleman:grr:

To me it looks like they are doing a very conscientious job - on nearly all they are unanimous. this is very time consuming though.

14. Yeah - I just read the article and edited |
|
I am surprised with some of them. I think many of the ones Franken got were Franken votes rejected because originally they were rejected.
