Diaper astronaut gets an new job...
The navy capt. Lisa Nowak will be working on developing training programs and curriculm at the Chief of Naval Command in Corpus Christi next month. She was suppose to start work this week.

How does this criminal get a job promotion when others can't even get a job, what did she do to deserve it. She isn't even being charged for the crime for which she intended to commit. Everyone knows what she intended to do but no one will say it. When diaper panties was caught she had in her possession,a bb gun,a knife, a steel mallet rubber tubing and garbage bags. Will someone like to guess what she was intent on doing...

2. When you prosecute future crimes you are in the realm of the thought police. 1984 is so last year

6. She fucked up, she got fired. She's charged with a crime, but until the trial, she's innocent.
That's the American way. Innocent till proven otherwise.

9. Bull, she is getting special treatment..
if that is the case then, there is a case in michigan where a man cut up his wife into pieces and hid them in the woods and some in his house. Since he hasn't had his trial yet then he is innocent and should be walking around too...

7. Probably because of the tens of millions taxpayers spent training her.
Agreed that she gets special treatment, but just think about all of the millions spent training her going down the drain.

8. I can't bash this woman. I just feel very sorry for her. And, she is still in the service.
Her career is ruined, her family is alienated, she has lost the respect of everyone she knows, and then some. She had so much going for her, and it is just all gone. She wigged out in a majorly sad way. I can't be mean about it. Whether she goes to trial or not

10. Being tossed from the Astronaut program is not a "job promotion"
Edited on Wed Mar-21-07 04:03 PM by Bridget Burke
Captain Nowak's career is finished, but she's still on the government payroll. I doubt the average guy on the unemployment line can do her job. So let her work.

She has been charged with attempted kidnapping, burglary with assault & battery. The captain is currently out on bail. Let her future be decided by our legal system--not by your "guesses" & "what everybody knows."

And she can actually be of use in the meantime.
