Former U.S. Senator, Vietnam Combat Veteran Max Cleland Endorses Iraq Accountability Act

WASHINGTON, March 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former U.S. Senator and
Vietnam Combat Veteran Max Cleland (D-GA) today endorsed the U.S. Troop
Readiness, Veterans' Health, and Iraq Accountability Act and issued the
following statement:

"Our soldiers have shown courage and valor in Iraq and they will
continue to do the job as long as we ask them to. But after four years, how
much more can we ask of our military? This war has weakened our military
readiness, greatly increased the rolls of injured and disabled veterans and
put our national security at risk.

"We need a way forward and a new strategy for Iraq. The U.S. Troop
