Day MINUS Thirty Two, into Obama's First Hundred Days,
and many here have essentially given up on him! I could go on for several more paragraphs on this theme, but it would be pointless. Most here would readily understand what I'm getting at, an the others would NEVER "get it" in a million years! Here's an except from the DU Rules: "2. Who We Are: Democratic Underground is an online community for Democrats and other progressives. Members are expected to be generally supportive of progressive ideals, and to support Democratic candidates for political office..........................."

As one who (without apology!) supported and voted for Ralph Nader in 2000, I'm particularly attentive to those who invoke that clause --- whether it be regarding Ralph Nader, Cindy Sheehan, or whoever. I think I've earned my right to belong to this DU community, but you're all free to say otherwise. But I'll say this: Maintain your scepticism/criticism of Obama, BUT GIVE HIM A FUCKING CHANCE! And consider where this Nation, and the entire World would have been, had he NOT won by a commanding majority!

2. You are wrong...
people are fighting for hope and change. It might have been but a slogan for Obama but the populous is moving on to make it happen.

There will be no change without a committed citizenry and the citizenry cannot harness change without hope. We will be the wind behind Obama's back or we will leave him in the dust.
