Dang, yo. The sad thing is that this is wasted money. I just don't see it ever paying off. I know we're fucked without it, but there has got to be a better way to ensure we aren't just delaying the inevitable.

1. I found it to be very generous and restoring my faith in the "compassion" of another country...
You guys really didn't need to do that, ya know.

But thanks to you all up there, maybe someday we can return the kindness.

Peace,
MZr7

3. I know, but it shows an understanding of the interdependencies between nations.
Thanks again.

4. Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of the USA.

Sadly. :( :hide:

Been that way for a long time.

Canada had it's own car manufacturers many a moon ago. They were either bought up or taken down by the big 3.

5. Um.... how many ways can I say "no"
Canada is not a subsidiary of the USA. We are plentifully on our own. And diversifying more. As well, the only car we ever made ourselves was the bricklin and it failed for reasons of funding and suckage.

7. We build a greater proportion of cars here for the big three than we buy. The auto pact has been
good to us. We need those jobs as badly as they need them in the US.
