Disillusionment hurts.

You feel foolish.
It could have been such a blessed day in America. Now, as someone said, it has been tainted.
Live and learn.

2. It really does. But a theorist I admire says
disillusionment is also one of those tools that helps us know more clearly what is us, what is something/one else and to figure the distance in between. That can be a valuable thing to know, imho.

4. Is this referring to Obama and the preacher from Saddleback?
If you want a progressive, support a progressive. Oh, that's right. Dennis can't win.

It will be a glorious day for no other reason when * becomes the former pResident and he takes his puppet master Cheney with him.

5. Trust me, you don't want Dennis Kucinich as president.
I remember when he was mayor of Cleveland. I know. He is not cut out to be the savior of America any more than anyone else is.

7. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior..
Please don't take this as an attack because that is not the spirit in which I write it, but if you are disillusioned you haven't been paying sufficient attention.

I never listened to Obama's speeches, firstly I don't watch TV and secondly I'm not interested in or swayed by what politicians say. Politicians are professional dissemblers and if you believe what they say you are bound to be disillusioned.

8. I've gotten too old and cynical to be disillusioned by the antics of ambitious politiicians.
A politician's first priority is to achieve and retain power. Principles and ethics are rather far down the list of priorities.
