Toyota announced a loss is anticipated for their latest quarter. (I guess they don't build cars people want, either, right Senator Motherfucker Shelby?)

Toyota has halted their (Mississippi - hahahahaha - take that, foreign car builder subsidizers - like you, Senator Motherfucker Shelby) planned Prius activities in the US. Not enough buyers, pure and simple.

Toyota has lost money on **every** **single** **Prius** **sold**. Why? Because they simply do not charge enough. I laud them, actually, for the Prius. They were investing in the future by building a market and willing to see the sales losses as a way to do that.

When Chevrolet sells the Volt, it will be in the $40K range if it is to be profitable. No one will buy a $40 latter-day Baretta or Corsica.

The feds will be mucking about the car maker's shit, telling to build green cars and be profitable. Oil is $120 a barrel LOWER than it was last summer. Gas is $2,50 a gallon LOWER than it was last summer. The Escalade hybrid gets better gas mileage than the mini Mini and is more profitable to sell, even at the $12,000 price reduction that is now its street price.

Honda's US sales have fallen a greater percentage than have Ford's.

The feds are going to make this situation better ...... how, exactly?

HOW ABOUT DOING TWO SIMPLE FUCKING THINGS:

Single payer health care so as to lower the BASIC fucking manufacturing costs of a car by a thousand and a half bux.

Free up some fucking credit by REGULATING the fucking banks.
