I saw a billboard today: WAR IS OVER
(If you want it)
Merry Christmas from John & Yoko

It was near the mall in Niles OH, and really made me look. I haven't seen that for decades, and it was huge.

Does your town have one?

I wonder too if it was paid for through a Lennon trust fund, or if some anonymous bought it.(?)

1. I wish I could see one like that.
Instead I was out in the middle of nowhere today and all there were were those cryptic religious billboard that read like this:

"Lost? Come find me. - God"

2. that is awesome!
Those signs are timeless and still useful. I am sure that it was probably paid by Yoko or some type of John Lennon trust.

3. I have heard that song three times in the last three days
One of which was a very compelling cover by Sarah McLaughlin. It's a very clever composition, one must admit.

Funny--I used to work at the mall in Niles, Ohio

6. And a new one just begun...
So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over over
If you want it
War is over
Now...

7. How awesome would John Lennon have been the past 8 years?
Obviously he would have been awesome the entire 28 since we lost him but in particular these last 8 years would have been a heyday for John. He would have went nuts on the Chimp.

8. I caught a program of Christmas songs by the "three tenors" the other night.
They closed with that song. I wonder what year it was. Pavarotti was still with us.
