I was confused as to why our economy could show strength while defying every precept of economic realism. Just a nostalgic look at those of us here at DU that have intellectual curiosity. Fellow DUers had some great responses and a few hit the nail right on the head. Read #13.

1. And the cited response also implies the cascading effects
internally, if a major industry were allowed to fail, under the guise that all the failure belongs to one (unionized) sector of the American economy.
