I don't know whether he was metally ill, although the official word seems to be that he had or has bipolar disorder. I would think that this determination would be something between him and his doctors.

He clearly called to the beatof a different drummer and I found him to be immensely amusing. When he worked the booth with Harry Caray it was clear that one day he would go a little too far. I hoped it was later rather than sooner.

Harry was quite a character himself. I met him a few times and found him to be not a man whom I would admire.
