Doesn't make sense. Why would conspirators let this leak to the friend? If the friend had substantial information about a real threat, why wouldn't he have gone forward with it to authorities as soon as he became aware of it? Or was this just a local station passing on second hand information about a friend that expressed concern about Connell's safety without any specific knowledge? I have to assume the last until we get more details on this friend and what information he had.

that Connell and Fitrakis reported the threats, asked for protection and were denied. Maybe the leaker was concerned about Connell's safety, enough to leak. That doesn't discredit Raw Story.

Gee, if the Right didn't do sneaky stuff and get away with it, we wouldn't have to have brave journalists who risk their reputations to get out the truth, only to be laughed at by assholes.

The Left with it's cries and demands for truth doesn't hurt Obama near as much as the Right with its lies hurts the people of America.

Don't be naive. Folks like Raw Story have been very careful to state they aren't claiming that someone's *guilty* of murdering him to cover this up. They are just saying that the surrounding facts that make this suspicious means that it shouldn't be ignored and fully investigated and are doing their job telling us of the possible conflicts that should be explored by our government bodies, but might not be, given the potential corruption that is in our government itself.
