So some idiot tried melting snow on his sidewalk with a blowtorch and he set his house on fire, and it makes TOP HEADLINES in all the major news media.
But the Mike Connell story doesn't warrant a peep.
The coverup obviates the conspiracy.

1. I wondered that myself... |

I listened to NPR this morning when it came on right after the BBC signed off, and not a mention of Connell. The "man sets house on fire with blowtorch" story hadn't broken yet so NPR didn't report on it, but I imagine NPR will use it tomorrow for one of its "cutesy" stories that appear during the segue to the news.
But I'm not holding my breath for the NPR "Connell story."
