Pretzeldential limbo: how low can BushCo go?
Edited on Wed Mar-21-07 11:15 PM by live love laugh
Let's play a little trivia game.

Stephen Colbert just dared Congress to impeach Bush for nine major things: WMD, Iraq, Katrina, Plame, signing statements, torture, wiretaps, secret prisons, US Attorneys...

How many things over the past seven years has BushCo done to ruin the country? What have they done that you can remember that was so mind boggling you couldn't believe it? So much has been forgotten and vanished down the memory hole. It takes a real effort to recall of it--which is exactly what they were hoping would happen.

I'll start.

1) Stolen election 2000
2) Bush flying around in the skies on 9/11 like a scared sissy no where to be found
3) Niger gate: Condoleeza Rice going to bat for them telling the people their lies were "just 16 words".
4) Stolen election 2004
5) HAVA (Help America Vote Act)
6) No Child Left Behind

Your turn...

9. a few more areas to review and consider...
* Failure to respond to USS Cole bombing, once responsibility for the bombings was established
* Failure to address al Qaeda, in any way, prior to 9/11
* Failure to properly resource the Nov/Dec-2001 effort to go after bin Laden and al Qaeda in Tora Bora
* Unauthorized redirection of Afghanistan war funding towards preparation for Iraq invasion
* Lies and deception in misleading the country, and other nations, into invading Iraq
* Illegal invasion of Iraq (as there was no UN resolution authorizing such action)
* Leaking capture of Naaem Noor Khan (leading to premature, and unsuccessful, rollup of terror cells in UK and Pakistan -- possibly facilitating the London bombings)
* Violation of habeus corpus

* Interference in prosecution of tobacco companies
* Interference in prosecution of political corruption
* Failure to enforce untold laws (power companies, etc)

At what point would the RICO statutes apply? The current Republican Party doesn't vary too much from the mob model.
