'Ace' The search and rescue dog, was rescued himself after being abandoned at a shelter. This was his first real search.

2. thanks, great story - just read a couple of other stories where people died

in the snow, and with much less exposure. Neat to know it was a rescued dog doing the rescuing!

I am more in tune with rescues, since adopting one myself earlier this year. I was grieving over the passing of the best dog I'd ever had the privilege to hang with, and there is no way to describe how this wonderful, generous rescue pointer stepped up to the plate and "rescued" me from my grieving. It must be something they are good at doing:)
