OMG Happy Jesus from FOX!

Church Members Dress Like Jesus to Protest Secularization of Christmas

Members of a church in Kansas City, Ks., are protesting the secularization of Christmas by dressing like Jesus at their jobs, malls and restaurants.

Pastor Kelly Lohrke advised parishioners of the Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship to wear at minimum a crown of thorns and a sash or robe during the week leading up to Christmas.

"A lot of businesses and people are saying that they have to say, 'Happy Holidays' and 'Season’s Greetings,'" church receptionist Chelsea Johnston told FOXNews.com. "They’re not allowed to say 'Merry Christmas.' It makes us upset because that is the holiday and it goes against our freedom of speech."

The 600-member church posted videos on YouTube of congregants wearing Christ-like garb in public — which they say has led other churches across the country to consider similar demonstrations.

6. Don't forget to put the "mass" back in Christmas, too boys!
What's this "Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship" nonsense? Doesn't sound like the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church to me!

7. The guy on the left..
looks like a professional wrestler.

Anyhow this is a stupid idea. If the terms of the job don't suit your beliefs, then find a new one that does. In the grand scheme of things, "Merry Christmas" is trivial. Not everyone celebrates Christmas.

I hate these wannabe marytrs.

8. I don't think Jesus would wear a brown shirt
Also, where's the blood? Those crowns of thorns are obviously far too comfortable. Still, if they want to do this, I'm in favour. It's always useful when you can spot someone's an idiot at a glance.

9. Left hand Jesus looks pissed
And the other Jesus has a pretty fancy shirt on. I wonder if he will get a nicer one for Christmas.

These people kill me. Christians have been bitching about this forever. Dickens wrote "A Christmas Carol" in 1843, Scrooge had to be inspired by someone who was raging a war on Christmas.

10. Instead of dressing like Jesus when he was mocked by Romans,
Why not try and act like he showed us,
Love your Lord God, and Love your neighbor as yourself.
(not being pompous, I fail at this many times myself)

And wouldn't that costume be better for Easter?
Then Christmas they could do the nativity thing?

Just thinking out loud here.

This reminds me of a personal story.
Funny thing happened to me, I was told I had to endorse a statement on a religious discrimination training video. The statement was formed as a statement of belief, where agreeing with it would be making a statement of thought, not just saying that the company could choose to discipline or remove an employee if they did the thing stated.

The statement was that offering to pray for someone while on lunch or in the break room might be harassment.

I had never been in that situation, and probably would not bring prayer up in a lunchroom. But my point was they wanted me to make a statement of belief.

I said I could agree they could discipline someone who did that, if they choose to. Assuming that it was creating hostile work environment, but they should not ask me to make a statement of belief counter to the teachings that prayer is a good thing to do, or a good thing to offer to do with someone.

I was removed from management. for politely pointing out the religious discrimination training test, was counter to my religious belief.
Now thats funny.

of all time. It was way too real. I must have seen it a dozen times with my nephews and they would put it on just for the three of us to crack up with laughter.

And they can say Merry Christmas, my prerogative to answer with HAPPY HOLIDAYS, or HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY

Establishment clause and all that...

21. The holiday is December 25. . .so why impose it for a week before?
This is like trying to force businesses to wish me a Merry Christmas when they put their holiday sh*t out the day after Halloween. If they want to make this a special "Christian-only" holiday, then stop demanding we celebrate it for two months.
