Blagojevich's lawyer asks panel to subpoena Obama staff

It was just revealed that President-elect Barack Obama and some staff members were interviewed last week regarding Illinois' Democratic governor Rod Blagojevich who has been charged with attempting to sell the former senator's fresh seat. Federal authorities have gone out of their way to inform the public that nothing untoward is suspected of the next US president or his staff and an internal report also determined that there was no quid pro quo.

And now, the Chicago Sun Times reports that "Gov. Blagojevich’s lead lawyer has asked the Illinois House panel weighing whether to impeach the governor to subpoena three high-profile witnesses."

1. Looks like Blago has no confidence

that President Obama will grant him a pardon at the end of his second term. This smells like a very desperate Hail Mary pass that will surely fuel acrimony from the incoming Prez's camp.

Just talked to my Faux News only watching Dad down in Florida and he's already convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that Obama was the one trying to sell his Senate seat.

And so we begin: You always get both sides on Faux News unlike the NYT which is all lies, Obama is a Muslim, Joe the Plumber is actually a plumber, Clinton got us into Somalia, Saddam was going to nuke New York (or was that the Iranian guy?), the Russians are giving the Iranians ICBMs to strike us, the moon is made of green cheese, etc.
