Landrieu might be in for Governor's race

NEW ORLEANS -- Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu might wade into Louisiana's already-crowded gubernatorial race -- if former U.S. Sen. John Breaux decides not to run.

Landrieu made the announcement Wednesday after Gov. Kathleen Blanco said she wouldn't be seeking a second term.

"I've said in the past I would not run against the governor, and I would also not run against John Breaux. I don't think it would be a wise decision for both of us to run, so if he does, I won't," he said.

Of course the GOP is already challenging Breaux's possible run due to Maryland driver's license and voter registration, something that has never prevented someone from getting on the ballot, but with screams of "ethics, ethics, ethics," who knows.
