ROB FROM MAIN STREET

and fill the bellies of Wall Street. Here,
take what we do not have your bonuses are calling.

The voice of the people--
what voice? what people?
Government passed it
and packaged it,
the 700 billion dollar cake.
How many workers will be pulled out
and forced to dance? A dance
our children and their children will have to learn.

Republican. Democrat.
Same coin; same head; same tail.
Corporate-dictators
flipping it for fun and profit.
A government fooling the people
and burying the people.

Bread lines forming.
Houses foreclosing.
Workers left with empty hands,
broken spirits
broken lives:
Corporate-dictators
elated to spread this plague.

The means of living itself gasping for breath.
Its throat squeezed,
voiceless,
the only way it can be controlled.
