Hubby's (Chimpy McSmirkers) step-dad is in the hospital after suffering a

heart attack this morning. It doesn't look good. Hubby is on his way down with one of his brothers to see him. We were supposed to visit my family for Hanukkah today (he told me to go be with my family, which is the only reason I'm not with him and his).

I know I've been asking for a lot of good vibes and prayers lately (it's been a rough few months lately), but can you guys spare a few more?

8. I hope so. Dr's prognosis not so good (I think he said 5% chance of recovery).

He's on life support, apparently, and has suffered some brain damage.

11. He went to pick up his brother, so they're riding down together. His other brother

is already down there (step-dad was visiting hubby's baby brother and his family in Raleigh,NC).

I'm honoring his and his brother's wishes by being with my family. His brother said, "Val, we'll most likely need your support in a couple of days." I knew exactly what they meant.

(don't know who would, really) since he lost his wife eight years ago. I'm glad my hubby has his brothers there.
