6. it's been incredible

It took 4 and half hours one day to go some where that usually only takes 20 minutes..my wife is a teacher and on the Thursday that it really started snowing they were in session. Her last pupil left at 6pm she got home at 8pm it's been wild...the last time we have had a huge snow event right before Christmas was in 1964

10. yes we were lucky

we live in north Tacoma and our power did not go out, but many others did. Our big problem right now is that there are a lot of flat roofs collapsing from the weight of the snow. Tomorrow it is supposed to get to 45 degrees the first time it will be over 40 since December 11th. The big problem that we will be facing in the next few days is that there will be massive flooding from the melting snow and all the rains that we will be getting.

14. I tried to call my my mom, for hours, on the 24th

to tell her we weren't coming to Oregon City, since the roads were so bad.
After about 4 hours, my mom called me from her neighbor's house because her power was out.
