— John Edwards, the North Carolina Democrat making a second bid for the presidency, announced late Wednesday night that he would hold a news conference Thursday, a day after he and his wife, Elizabeth, visited Mrs. Edwards’ doctor to assess her health following her recovery from breast cancer.

10. I am so worried for Elizabeth. If this was good news, they would just say so.

My guess is she got bad news yesterday and that's when John headed home to be with her. I so hope I'm wrong, but calling a press conference to announce good news just doesn't seem feasible to me. She's had other check ups and given a clean bill of health and they didn't call a press conference to announce that news. John's probably dropping out of the race to be with her through whatever treatment she seeks.

I'm sending my best wishes and as many good vibes as I can send. She's a wonderful lady.
