Should happen immediatly in my opinion. * already said he isn't going to budge. ISSUE THEM NOW! the longer the delay the more likely they will figure a way to wiggle off. (perhaps some BIG distraction!)

1. I agree -- I can't see the benefit it either waiting or trying to negotiate
The dems must do what is correct and not worry about how the MSM is going to call them partisan -- the MSM will do this NO MATTER WHAT they do.

C'mon guys, issue them today!!!

2. From what i understand, they are still negotiating
and these authorizations give them greater leverage. Still, i'd hate to see a compromise where we the people are shut out and only certain selected people get to hear it. I am hoping for no compromises, but i am only just starting to trust hope again.

3. What I expect to see in a final agreement is that the WH staffers
WILL testify, in public, under oath, but the scope of the questions will be limited. This attorney messhas the WH worried, but not nearly as much as if the Dems finally get Rover under oath and some or all of them venture way out from the attorney firings into the many other suspect areas of criminality. We'll see.

4. NO LIMITATIONS!
Leahy has the power. This is why they should be issued quickly. To avoid arguments that might impart limitations on the testimony!

5. Scope limitations are extremely common in any investigation.
I know we'd all love to ask the Rover 1,000 questions aboutseveral hundred different issues, but I think it's a given that it's just not going to happen that way!
